Electric Aircraft Engines. Boyd Group
International has provided a number of strategic analyses for
GEAE, including feasibility review for investing $1 billion in
product upgrades to support planned stretch models of the
Bombardier CRJ. The firm has also provided General Electric with
several global forecasts of airliner demand.
Suncor
Energy of Canada – Corporate Shuttle
Re-Organization. In 2009, Boyd Group International completed a
complete re-structuring of this large oil firm’s air operations,
which shuttled over 30,000 employees monthly into and out of is
private airport in northern Alberta.
Royal Air
Maroc – Gateway Analyses. Boyd Group
International completed a comprehensive analysis of US gateways
for the Moroccan national carrier. In the process, flows of
traffic and goods were analyzed across the carrier’s system,
matching and quantifying revenue streams between the Middle
East, North Africa, and East Africa to points in the United
States.
DFW International
Airport . Boyd Group International completed a
strategic plan for DFW International Airport that outlined the
structure of the US airline industry, competitive position of
American Airlines, and opportunities to position DFW as a global
portal capitalizing on international trade flows.
New Orleans
Louis Armstrong International Airport. Boyd
Group International has assisted MSY in a range of air service
strategic issues, including facilitation meetings between
airport staff and the CEO of Southwest Airlines to discuss
post-Katrina service needs. In 2008, the firm assisted in the
review and negotiations between the airport and Aeromexico,
which resulted in the carrier’s decision to implement service to
Mexico City.
JBT
Corporation. Boyd Group International completed
a global strategy plan for the largest GSE producer. This
included growth by business unit by region, potential for new
manufacturing facilities, threats from emerging Chinese firms
such as TienDa and Guantai, as well as the potential for their
iOPS system, which is in operation at DFW Terminal E.
Embraer
Aircraft Corporation. Boyd Group International
worked extensively with Embraer in the market development and
demand forecasts for the ERJ-145 series of airliners. The firm
later participated in market reviews for a follow-on product
line, which resulted in the development of the 170/190 E-Jet
platform.

Aircraft Corporation. Boyd Group International
directed a global perspective planning session on-site in Brazil
for this manufacturer of airliners ranging in capacity from
37-to-115 seats, including review of changing airline business
models, emerging economies, and competitive platforms.
Frontier
Airlines Tactical Response Plan. In response to
increased a fundamentally changed competitive situation due to
Southwest’s entry into the Denver market, Boyd Group
International developed a tactical plan for Frontier Airlines to
maintain traffic and revenue share. This included a review of
the carrier’s expansion opportunities at mid-size and small
communities.
OEM Market Assessment - Spirit AeroSystems (Formerly Boeing). This company, formerly the main assembly division for Boeing Aircraft, engaged Boyd Group International to review global potential for additional growth markets in the areas of major component design, manufacturing and overhaul.
Frontier
Airlines Market Opportunity Analyses. Boyd
Group International applied its analytical resources in
assisting Frontier in identifying current and potential route
opportunities as it planned an exit from Chapter-11 bankruptcy.
